Harvest Moon Ride

Well if I could read I would not have made the climb into The AC by myself last night.
I got home from the daily grind around 5:20 and got ready for the Harvest Moon ride last night. I was pressed for time, because I thought we were going to start at 6:00. (that is were the reading comment comes in) start time was 6:30. I needed a beer for the beer swap. I only had a small keg of Keystone in the fridge. So if I wanted to make it down from the ride in one piece I need to get a respectable brew, so off to the store Lu and I went 5:50pm. We were out of time after the visit to the beer store so we drove up to the entrance of Winnie Lake and started there. We made it on time 6:00 pm. I hustled up to the bike path above the collage ,but there was no one there. 6:02pm. I was late . I looked up Postal I couldn't see anyone so I thought to myself The E-mail said V&T so I headed up to the start of the V&T trail north of the collage. No one was there ether, so back to the bottom of Postal, still no one around. I must of missed them or it was a big joke on me. "Lets get Roger up on the hill late with no light".
Well I was there so up we went stopping every so often to look around to see if anyone was coming up but no one ANYWHERE. Now its 6:40 or so and we were at LuLu Lagoon. Hay I know we will go back down 4Days and see if anyone was coming up so off we went again down 4 Days, but no one anywhere. So down Baldy and Deer Run.... still no one .
Oh well it was a good ride I said to Lu. Lets take 7 steps and go home.

What do ya know at the top of 7 steps here they come Jeff P. Jeff M. and Ray.
Hay ROG are you ready? Jeff M. said.
I anserwed with a little hesitation, Yeah I guess.
So off we went back up to LuLu Lagoon via Deer Run, Baldy and 4Days. It was fun, and by the time we got to the bottom of Baldy the Moon was rising over the eastern horizon. Wow what a sight. It was a spectacular Harvest Moon, very cool.
By the time we got to the Lagoon it was DARK.
So much for "you will only need a light for the ride home on the city streets".
Thank goodness for the two Jeff's they had 1,000,000 candle power lights on there head and handle bars so we could see just fine, well sorta. It was way to dark to even think about taking Creek Trail down so we decided to take the road to the top of Deer Run.
To end the ride we stopped at the top of 7 Steps and Swapped beers and enjoyed the view.
I think fun was had by all.

THE FIRST ANNUAL HARVEST MOON RIDE is in the books.

Lu Lu was a great trail dog the whole ride. She stayed on Jeff M.s tail the entire ride .
I think it had something to do with cookies.

Lot of fun was had by all can't wait for next year!!!

Next time I will have a light!
Peace
